Cheeky Chinchillas - Travels with Professor Chewit

Professor Chewit (Ph.D) is one of the world’s leading rodent experts in
Ancient Chinchology and Pelletology.

During a recent archaeological dig, he uncovered the now famous cave drawings in the ‘Chincha Cave’.
However, as you can imagine, this incredible discovery has raised many new questions.
Experts from all over the world are currently discussing this major find and its significance.

Due to the importance of this discovery, he is unable to reveal its present location,
but has provided us with some great pictures.

‘Chincha Cave’ is a window into the life of ‘early chin’.
The drawings are of exceptional quality and artistic ability.

During the excavation of the Chincha Cave, Professor Chewit also uncovered an ancient Treasure Map, which he believed would lead him to the Chincha Gold.

The Chincha Gold, was supposed to have been a hoard of treasure collected over hundreds of years by the 'old' chins. Many thought it a myth, but the Professor was determined to prove it really existed....and so his journey to find the long lost treasure began.

The first part of the journey took him to a place called Cholla, where he stayed at his friend's home, called Science Selective Cottage. After a good night's sleep, he continued on to the Chincha Cave (see above) which he discovered some years ago, along with the treasure map.

The next part of the journey took him to a forest area where he made camp on a raised area named 'Tan Hill'. He was joined by some travelling chins and a very famous wizard called Harry Potter ! They had a good old 'chinwag' and passed a very pleasant evening together.

Professor Chewit set off on the next part of his journey, only to lose his way and found that he had been walking around in circles ! Fortunately, to his great relief, his old friend Dr Chew arrived in his TARDIS ( The Ancient Rodent Dental Inspection Service).

Dr Chew took him to the ancient monument, 'Bark Bites Circle', where the Professor thought the treasure would be. This ancient monument was a meeting ground for chinchillas, where they worshipped and left offerings to the Chin Gods.

After several days of excavating the area, the Professor uncovered a deep underground cavern, where the 'Chincha Gold' had been buried. He was so happy not only to have found the fabulous treasure, but also to have proved it really did exist. When asked how he felt when he made the discovery, he said,
'It was like looking for a pellet and finding a haystack!'.

Professor Chewit lives in Chinchillaton.
This usually sleepy village, was recently brought into the limelight, when the
Chinchillaton Chompers won the Pawball World Cup
The celebrations lasted for days and it was reported that extra barrels of Raisin wine
had to be brought in from surrounding villages, to cope with the demand!

As well as being a keen Historian, Professor Chewit, loves taking photographs.
Below are some photos he has taken of his chinnie friends in and around the village
