Cheeky Chinchillas - True Stories About Chinchillas
Do you have any interesting, humorous or perhaps a 'warning' story about your pet?
Please email me with the details and I will place them here for everyone to share
Please remember, if you do let your chinchilla have a run in the house, always make sure
there is nothing that he can harm himself on e.g. electrical wires etc and never leave him unsupervised
Never underestimate the intelligence of your chinnie and his powers to escape !
Remember too, plastic, paint, stained wood etc are toxic to chinchillas
Also, if you do let your chin have a run in the bathroom, always make sure the toilet seat is down
Thank you to Kara for the following stories
This is the story of how I got Peanut
Well I had a crazy dream of getting a pet hedgehog. Of course my mother did not want that. But she said if I saved up the money I could get one. I did too! Neither one of us could beleif it! But when I was set on getting a hedgehog my parents were set on convincing me other wise. Joking around I said "Oh so I could get a chinchilla instead!" I didn't know what it was even. We went to the pet shop and I fell in love with them! Imagine getting the exact oppisite of what you wanted! But liking it so much better!!!
Chin Play
One night my chinnie Peanut and his brother Lucky played a little game. Peanut ran and walked over my mom's face! She doesn't mind usually but Lucky did the same. For a whole hour every time they passed they would walk across her face. She moved but they still did it! Then my mom said "Whoever does that again is going back to the store!" (she was kidding of course) Then Peanut ran and did it again! They knew what they were doing. It was a game to them!!!
Another 'Peanut' story
One day Peanut (my chinchilla) was out, so I made a cave by simply putting a blanket over myself and holding it up.
Then I got Peanut under it and he just sat there against my side. Moments later he walked away.
I got up and my shirt which had been hanging away from my body fell back against me.
It was soaking wet all over with Peanut Pee. It stuck to me too! (Ewwww) I washed up and came back.
We put him in his cage but I wasn't angry at him. (How could I be angry at that little face?????)
PEANUT- THE BEST HIDE AND SEEKER
One night Peanut was running in my room and he disapeared. The door was closed too! Me and my family checked all his usual hide-outs
but he was not to be found. By then I was getting kinda paniky wonderering where the little critter could be.
Just when I thought he would never be found we lifted up the blanket that was hanging over the bed sure enough
there he was! He knew we were looking for him, he had this little haha look on his face.
And I knew and so did he that he was an awesome hide and seeker!!!!
A story from Isabella. Oreo's Lucky Escape
Once my chinchilla Oreo was in this "cage" my sister made for him out of paper and he made a thin hole and snuck out.
We were sooo scared and we thought the impossible horror, he was in the furness room.
We were right but guess how we got him out! Our cat, Geniveve was meowing her head of right by the furness and
I looked under it and there was Oreo, safe because 1.The furness was of. and 2.Our cat told us where he was.
Then we cleaned him of and got him some food and a cherrio(he does not like raisins) and put him in his cage. The End
A story from Hopper's mommy
One day, me and my cousin went to the pet store to get me and my brothers' chinnies (Hopper and Trooper) some food.
My cousin and I were looking at the hamsters. My cousin said to me, "I think I should ask my mom and dad if I can get a hamster."
I agreed. A couple days later, she got a little hamster named Digger (He is such a doll face!) we let Trooper and Digger play together first,
but Trooper was a little too rough; But Hopper ran away from tiny Digger! It looked SO funny! We love you Digger! :)
A story from Amanda
I have something I want to share about my chinchilla, Gizmo. (his nickname is Izmelda hahaha)
Anyway, before Gizmo moved in with my mom and me, he lived with my sister for a while. My sister lived in an apartment.
Gizmo had his cage in her room. Sometimes she used to let him out because her apartment was small.
So she closed all her doors except for her room door, and she put up a big cardboard wall to the kitchen (so he doesnt crawl under the oven and fridge).
He would run around in the dining room, living room, and her bedroom. At the time she didn't have much in her apartment and her couches touched the floor.
She only had a TV in her living room and she always remembered to put the wires up. Gizmo was always energetic when he was young.
One time she let him out and he was racing back and forth from her room and into the living room. I started watching him from her room and he
ran into her room and turned around to run back out. He ran out but he turned to late and he ended up doing the matrix on the wall and into the living room!
It was really funny. He was running on the wall 1 ft high!! It was awesome! P.S. I LOVE MY CHINCHILLAS!! GIZMO, FATTY, AND OBBI (MY NEWEST CHINNY!!)
A story from Ashley and how his dog saved James the chinchilla
One day I let him play in the bathroom alone because I didnt think it would hurt, he was in there for about 20 mins and he had never
tried to get at the vent before, but when I went to get him and take him to his cage the vent cover was off and he was gone.
So I ran down stairs and could hear him running around, I got my mom and we were worried because the furnace was going to kick in.
My dog was at the top of the stairs and she'd come cry at the door then run away,
she did this about 4 times before my mom went to see what she was doing. When she did she noticed Precious (the dog) was
crying at this one vent and when she lifted the cover off she could see James just laying there so she called me and luckily
I grabbed him just in time. I bet 5 more minutes in there and he would have been dead, so its a good thing for my dog because
I never would have found him in time, but he knew where the opening was so I'm glad he was smart enough to run there.
A story from the Pointer Brothers
We have a lovely Chin called Chilli Stitch, he has a great personality and is mad on raisins.
When Stitch wants a Bath he goes to the top level of his house and stands on his hind legs,
he then puts his front paws on top of the cage where his bath is kept.We think he is the best Chin in the world.
We love your website, especially the Cheeky Chinchillas who play the musical instruments.
Love from Jared, Joel, Nathaniel & Reuben
Thank you to Stephen for this story
One morning when my dad got up he went to see the chinchillas. But only George was there! Bary had gone missing.
My dad searched for him for hours then he saw Bary's fluff in the pool table. My dad couldn't hear anything so him and
a friend took it apart. But he wasn't in it. My dad went to the bathroom and moved the washing basket and there he was.
He must have been moving around because he wasn.t there before.
It turns out the lock on the cage was loose and he used his teeth to take it off.
Never underestimate the intelligence of your chinnie.
A reminder to us all to make sure our cages are closed properly
Thank you to Nicole for this story. A Christmas Surprise
This past year, I got a chinchilla in May named Hopper. When Hopper was about six months old,
my brother wanted a little chinchilla too. We asked my mom and dad for the longest time but they thought one was enough.
A few days befor Christmas, I asked my mom if my dad and her were getting a chin for my brother, but she said no.
But on Chistmas day, we found a baby chinchilla in a carrying case under the tree! My brother and I were breathless!
We took him out immediately and he let us, so we named him Trooper for being one.
Him and Hopper are our babys! Hopper has his own story too!
Thank you to Kirsty for this story
I have a chinchilla called Charlie. I have not trained him anything yet, because I am not sure what to do to teach him,
but when I get him out in the hall he always runs round like a cheeter. Once he ran up the stairs and got in my room, it was so funny
Thank you to Julia's Chinnies for their story
Hi! I'm Jynx the chin! Mother of one.
Hi! I'm Toast the chin! I'm the daughter of Jynx.
This is Jynx here. I am a pretty mosaic and I am 4 years old. I have been owned by Julia since June and I am rather used to
her.
I always run around on her piano (and jump of the edge so she can't
catch me, hee hee) :)
Julia would love to have her story on the story page and so would we, we'd
be famous!! Step aside, Robbie Williams! There's a new chin in town! Okay, I know he's not a chin
(hee hee, Toast just said, "Isn't he??") but still... Oh, Toast (she wants a go)
Hiya! I really thought that Robbie was a chin! Didn't you? Oh... you didn't.
Anyway, I'm a mosaic too and I'm the cutest, prettiest, most intelligent
chin in the universe! Okay, probably not but I think that I am. ( Oh, Jynx
is being nasty again. She said that I'm a boaster!) Also,
Julia really likes The Music. (So do I) And she reads while she's listening
to it! ( I don't know how she does it though)
Ooh, I think the treat tin is coming! Better go!
:o :) Hey, these chins look like me and Jynx! Cool!!!!!!
Thank you to Brittney for this story
My chinchilla's name is Lacy. She is cute, smart and her favorite guy is Hopper Blanchard, she loves people.
She has a cute little birth mark behind her ear. She has a good story too.
I was in my backyard and someone said does she ever jump out of your hands?? and at that instant,
she jumped out of my hands and ran under a thorn tree. I couldn.t get her back, then finally,
my sister came out and said 'Lacy' and bribed her with food. I am so happy
Thank you to Bradley for this story
One day when we let our chins Wallace and Gromit out for a run in the front room,
we ended up loosing them. We started hearing nibbling noises, we found them behind
my snooker table and guess what, they had chewed off the bottom of my snooker table leg.
I was so mad at them. But because they where so cute, I said, 'Oh well it dosent matter'.
Thank you to Nicole for her story of how she got her chinnie and 'Hoppers great escape'
My chinchilla Hopper
He doesn't need special care like hurt chinchillas, but he has a special story how I got him.
One day I asked my mom for a turtle for my birthday, but my dad didn't want another pet after my cat died
but I still wanted a turtle. One day after lacross practice, I got home and put my p.j.s on.
I walked in the living room and there was a cage in the middle of the room with my family taking pics of the look on my face.
My mom, dad, my big bro Alec, my gramma, my papa and nana and my little cus Miranda. I ran straight to my new chinchilla.
I looked at him and he was hopping around the cage like CRAZY! So I named him Hopper. He wasnt used to me yet but after
like a week, he got used to me, he is my wittle whoppa
More stories from Nicole
One day, I invited two of my friends to a sleepover and dicided to go bowling.
Before I left, I hurried up and said goodbye to my chinchillas. I picked up Trooper and said goodbye then I said goodbye to Hopper.
When I got home three hours later, I ran straight to the chinchilla cage and said hello to the chinnies.
I picked up Trooper first and gave him a big kiss and a hug then I whent to pick up Hopper, but he wasn't inside.
The cage door was closed and I thought, " This is a little bit freaky." So me, my mom and my friends looked around for like ten min. and my mom said,
"The door to the other end is closed but we better check down there just in case." So we looked and looked but there was no chinnie!
So I thought to myself, " Is he ok? Did someone break in and steal him? Is he dead somewhere?" then It came to me that he might be in his
FAVORITE hiding spot, under the couch.
I looked, but there was still no Hopper. We looked around for another ten min. then my !
mom found him under the couch and that took us ANOTHER ten min. to get him out. How did Hopper get out? Good question.
Apparently, when I said goodbye to the chinnies I remembered that when I said goodbye to Trooper I left the cage door open then I used the bathroom,
so Hopper jumped out, and I noticed the cage door was open so I shut it on poor little Hopper (cry cry cry).
I love that little fella! He has been through alot of trouble though!
_____________________________________________________
One day, me and Hopper (my chinchilla) were outside to greet someone.
Then they asked, "Doesn't he ever jump out of your hands?".
Just then Hopper got spooked and jumped out of my hands and landed on his side and on the rock driveway.
But that didn't stop him! So he ran under the car (as you may guess I was screeming Hoppers name loudly).
He ran from under the car and into the thorn bushes.
Hopper just sat there not even buging. My brother threw a raisin at him but he didn't eat it.
So, I called Hoppers name and he came to me!
I like to call this story "Hoppers great escape"
Thank you to Roxanne for this story about her lost chinchilla!
A good reminder that chinnies can squeeze through very small holes !
One day I was playing with my chinchilla (her name is chilly) in the bathroom.
She crawled into a crack about 2 inches wide. We waited all day and all night,
then finally we had to use power tools to get her out.
I'm so glad I got my chilly back. PS:CHINCHILLAS ROCK!!!!!!!!
Thank you to Michaela for this story about the surprise kits!
Me & my family bought two male chinchillas who we called Wallace and Gromit.
One day we heard some squeaking coming from the cage, it turned out Wallace
was actually a girl and they'd had two babies! We then called them Lilo & Stitch
Another story from Michaela
One day I went to my friends' to visit my chinchillas Wallace and Gromit. (We had to sell them, so she bought them so that I could still visit them)
We decided to let them have a run about, then when it was time to bring them back in we couldn't find Gromit anywhere!
We looked high and low and we were both getting worried, in the end I had to go home so I took my backpack and went home.
Then when I opened up my bag at home I was greeted with Gromit jumping out at me, it was a big surprise I must say!
We returned him to my friends and I then had to wash my bag as their was loads of chinchilla 'poo' everywhere.
Then I had an even bigger surprise, it turned out whilst Gromit had been in there he had chewed half my homework up!
So when I told my teacher about it, it was no surprise he laughed along with the rest of the class aswell. I turned bright red,
but when i visited my cute chinchillas again I forgot all about it... Note: Anyone who has a chinchilla, please check your bag if you lose them... you never know!
Thank you to Rafael for this very amusing story
Once upon a time I was in halloween with a friend that has a
chinchilla called Diglet.
We were preparing for the halloween party, I was a zombie and my friend was a witch.
He couldnt find his hat, we start looking and we found Diglet with the hat on his head (not
really) that was very funny
Thank you to Izaac for this story
I got my chinchillas on the last day of May. They were three months old
when I got them.
One day I let them run about in my room. Suddenly my dad came in and told me
we had to go out to dinner. I rushed frantically trying to get them.
In the end it took me 20 mins to get them out from under the bed. lol
Thank you to Lucy for this story
About two weeks ago one of my friends knocked at the front door when I
was playing with my two chins. I quickly put them back in the cage, not
knowing that I didn't put the top down properly!
When I came back I heard a scuffling noise in the corner of my room. I screamed for my mum
and when she came up she had discovered it was Gizmo!(my chin).
It took
me another two hours to capture him as once he's out he does'nt like to
come back! When I finally did get him back, he was very happy to see his
fiancee Sottie!
Thank you to Maiya for this story of how she came to buy her first chin
I was very convinced and set on getting a gerbil. We
had already bought the stuff and were getting him that day after my mom
got her nails done.
While she was there she met a woman who she told of
my quest for my gerbil. When the woman heard this she said that gerbils
are very mean and they get away very easily because they are so small.
Then she showed her a picture of her new pet, a chinchilla. She loved
the chinchila so much that she went back to the breeder and bought
another.
So my mother came back and showed me what it was and I looked
up pictured online and instintly fell in love with them. So I went to
the same breeder the woman had and bought the last chinchilla she had
for sale. I was very happy and I have had him for 1/2 a year now and
may even be interested in another
Thank you to Marlena for this lovely story of two exotics pets together
I have a female Chinchilla called Cheena. She was given
to me by a friend as she couldn't care for her any longer and wanted
her to have a good home. I'd never heard of a Chinchilla before this
and had no clue how to take care of her. What I thought was really
funny was how she took her bath in dirt...and boy does she flop around
like a crazy person. Cheena and my Macaw T.K. are the best of friends.
I always come home to find T.K. on the top of the cage talking to her or singing songs to her.
It is very wierd but pretty cool. My two exotic girls...a macaw and a
chinchilla
Thank you to Cindy for this story
Baby Karch is a 2 year old male who is very loyal to his
friends. His friends are a mini doxie and a guinea pig named Pigsley.
We had got a second pig to be friends with Pigsley, but after a few weeks
when they were introduced the new pig attacked Pigsley. Karch had seen all
this from his cage, he went ballistic and started screaming.
The pigs
were seperated, and when play time came Karch hopped into pigsley cage
and just sat with him. They play all the time, and it was the sweetest
thing to see. Till this day when Karch sees the other pig he screams at
him and charges him. He only plays with Pigsley and the doxie. Chins are
just small grey elephants!
Thank you to Hayley for telling us all about her chins
I have 2 (standard grey) chinchillas, a boy and a girl. They are
extremely entertaining and love coming out for their daily 'run
around'. When they want to come out they both stand on their back legs
and bite the cage (to get my attention).
They do LOTS of funny, cute and mischevious things (I cant write them all, lol).
I have made my chins 'pouches'/'sleeping sacks' they like to go inside them and snuggle up,
I sometimes carry them around in them. When I have my chinchillas out
(I ALWAYS sit and stay with them,) they hop around, sniff and
investigate the toys and things that I put out for them to play with,
then they start playing.
They jump up onto me even up to my head, Boo
Boo (the boy) chases Bee Bee around, Bee Bee won't chase Boo Boo but
when frightened by a noise or something she will run to him and hide
behind him, she will then follow him until she feels safe. They will
have a run around and then stop for a 'kiss'(they nibble each others
noses)then they go of to play again. I give them raisins (not alot and
not often)just as a treat. They LOVE them (what chin doesn't?) but they
always want more more more and will stand on their shelf and squeeze
their noses through the cage and put their paws through for another
raisin. (I dont give in to them though, as to many raisins are not good
for them)
There is LOADS more I could say about my chinchillas but I wont, lol :-)
I hope all you chin owners 'out there' find your chin or chins as fun
to watch and as fun to be with as I do with my 2. xxxx
Thank you to Sammy for this funny story
One day when I was watching the t.v in the kitchen. I let my year old
chin Maxi run around. Suddenly, I heard a noise and saw that Maxi had
jumped into the bin. I ran over to the bin, took the lid off and Maxi
was on his hind legs looking confused. It was really funny
Thank you to Karl for this story - An Important Lesson
We thought it was time we bought our daughter a pet, so after a
long hard look we found these really cute chins.
So we bought them home read up on what they were like and read that they needed to get out alot, so
every evening when we go to bed we let them run around the front room
(making sure of not escape routes).
But, one morning when I got up to put
them back in their cage for the day, I found one but could not find the
other. There was no way in or out of our front room, after about 20
minutes of searching we thought he had got away, but then we saw him
but still could not work out where he had hidden. The following morning
we were in the same dilema but eventually found his hiding place, he
had gnawed away at the back of the desk draw and took up camp here...
I certainly learnt my lesson on this one.
N.B. Please remember, if you do let your chin have a run in the house,
always make sure that there is nothing they can harm themselves on e.g. electrical wires etc
Thank you to Brogan for this story
My chinchilla might be a year old by now. She's called Pepper and
is real cute. Her nose is quite funny as it's a bit squashed. She likes
to sleep in the day and only wakes up to food noises. In the evening
she comes out and runs around and chirups. She likes to destroy all the
cool toys me and my mum buy her. She's eaten 3 ladders so far.
Thank you to Steph for this funny story
I had my 4 month old chinchilla, Cloud, out in the bathroom (making sure the toilet seat was down)
He was jumping around when he came across the toilet roll.
Suddenly he grabbed a piece and went hopping around with it!
When I tried to get it off him he sprang on to the top of the toilet,
then jumped down, landing on the handle, so he was flushing it on her
way. In the end I got it back, but I had to creep up on him when he wasn't looking.
N.B. Please remember, if you do let your chin have a run in the bathroom,
always make sure the toilet seat is down, so he cannot harm himself in any way and never leave him unsupervised.
Thank you to Núria for this informative story. Chinchillas of the same sex can live together,
but introducing them can take time.
I had a one year old male chin who had always lived alone and we wanted to introduce him a partner.
Our dilema was if it could be possible to introduce him another male, because we didn’t wanted
to have babies and we were afraid of having him neutered.
We looked for a vet who had experience with chins and we asked her for advice.
She told us that the most important thing was the character of the chins not the sex.
Then we decided to try it with a baby male chin.
It took us almost two months to join them, but finally we were succesful.
Now they are happy living together as a couple.
We have a friend who passed through the same experience but with a female,
and she followed the same process as we did and she had also been succesful, she has two females living together.
Thank you to Carolyn for this story
One time I had my chinchilla (Chiku) and her babies (Jitters, Spunky, and Squirrel) out in
the living room playing. I always build a wall and stuff every crack and hole that
they could possibly get through with blankets.
After everything was set up I let them all loose and immediately they all went flying!
I got out my camera to take some pictures and both Squirrel and Spunky came running up my
arms and legs and sitting on me waiting to get there picture taken.
Spunky also went up my shirt and began exploring (it tickled)!
I took several pictures of the babies and there mom. When I took a picture of Chiku she
flew over the couch over the wall and I had to get her carrier and sneek up on the little fur ball.
When that was all over my cat Baghera (he loves fuzzie critters! He suprisingly never hurts
even mice. He just cuddles and cleans them.) tried to cuddle up next to Chiku and almost got sprayed!
It was an exhausting experience!
Thank you to Caitlin for this sad story with a happy ending
My pet chinchilla Tigger, is very loved but I'm sorry 2 say that
that wasn't the case a year ago before we got him. The owner
of the pet store we bought him from, told us his story. She said
that one day a woman came in and bought him when he was 2 mounths
old. The woman took him home and her son was allergic to him,
so a week later she brought him back to the pet store to
return him. She had not fed him or given him any water in
a week he had lost alot of weight and was barely alive.
So the pet store wouldn't sell him for a mounth, then I bought
him. He is a year and 3 mounths old now and is very calm and
loving - he is a standard grey.
Thank you to Emma for this 'warning' story
One time I had my chinchilla , Bessie, out and my younger cousin stood up to
look in her cage. I told him to sit down at once, but it was too late, Bessie
ran underneath him and then he sat down on her. She cut he lip with her
tooth, and it was bleeding loads. I ruined my best white shirt because of all
the blood, but I didn't care. We called up the emergency vet for some
advice and then the next day we took her to the vet. She needed some
antibiotics, but she made a full recovery.
So, I hope readers will learn from this story!
Thank you, Emma and Bessie xxx
Thank you to Kirsty for this funny story
I had just purchased an adorable little female grey chinchilla. I named her Jasmine and placed
her in the same cage as my castrated male, Baby. The other day I was making a tutting sound
at her to make her come over to me for a raisin, but she became quite defensive and decided
that she was going to projectile pee all over my face and in my mouth!. After I had ran to the
bathroom to wash my face I returned to her calling her a "little devil" and saying that I would
not give her any raisins for a whole week, when she decided that once wasn't enough and did it
again. This time my mouth was closed, but I still had to wash my face, again! From now on I never
bow down to her level, just in case she gets the urge to splurge!!!!!
Thank you to Ayleen for this lovely and very informative story
I have four of the most adorable Chins; Mum n Dad, a year old son & another baby boy who was
born nearly three weeks early. He is very special, as in the beginning I didn't think he would
make it, but he was a determined little scrap. He was sooo tiny & frail, I had to feed him every
two hours, day & night for three weeks - a Mum again at 48! Hard work but worth every moment spent.
Mummy Chin just never had any milk but was more than happy to take on the washing & keeping him warm.
Dad too - they are very proud parents. I called the prem baby Tinker ( because he was a right one!)
A breeder in the UK gave me a milk recipe: 1oz of Evaporated Milk, 1½ oz water from tap, 2 drops of
Multi Vitamin & ¼ level tsp glucose or few drops honey. Mix & warm to just above blood heat (do the baby milk wrist test)
He took approx 3mls a day at first from an eye dropper, then soon took a lot more!
I was told that at 3 weeks old my little prem baby should weigh about 40 - 50 grams, he weighed a whopping 60!
So, I knew then that we were doing it right! He was later weaning at about 9 weeks. The best thing is, because he has had
so much one to one attention, he is very, very tame. He only has to hear my voice & he is climbing up the cage
begging to be taken out. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I was told by the breeder not to be too
hopeful & prem chins don't normally survive, is this the case?
Rebecca's Story - Playful Chins
I keep my two cheeky chins (Spider and Hercules) in my bedroom and I let them out to play for a good couple
of hours per night, apart from the usually stripping of wallpaper and running round like total nutters,
they like to collect things: hair scrunchies (mine) are a favourite, but tissues, pens, paper, socks and the
odd pair of underpants (robbed from the draw) are normally found hidden in corners.
I have managed to train them to go back in the cage (most evenings) by saying bed time, but one of them
uses this as a game to race around the room like a mad thing.
It still suprises me of the places they can get in to and under when the mood takes them, but I wouldn't
be without them, they are so cute and adorable (except when eating my clothes whilst I am wearing them!).
Thank you to Anita for this story
My chinchilla's name is Sabrina. She is 4 months old.
She can jump and hop really high and fast.
She likes to bite things. When she takes a bath, she stays in there as long as a real human being does. My Dad calls her a squirbet, [which means half squirrel, half rabbit.] When I hold her on my head it feels like she's eating my hair . She can also talk. If you rub her in a certain spot, she makes a funny sound!
Thank you to Sami
I have 2 chins. They are named Trinity and Neo from the matrix.
Trinity is about to have babies (in less then 2 weeks). I’m very glad.
It will be her first litter. They are standard grey. They love to jump on top
of me and sit on my head and shoulders and then watch TV.
One time I was holding him and then I watched TV. He jumped on the TV,
then jumped back down on me. They kiss my dog Bear all the time.
Thank you to keri
I am at my auntie's house, she has a chinchilla called Baby.
Baby is energetic, playful and fun to have lots of fun with.
One time me and my friend were sitting on the floor and baby was
out. She loves climbing and running around, any way, we were sitting
on the floor and she came and sat and lay down on my face because
she was so tired that she fell asleep on my face.
Also there was one time when we were sitting with wooden tubes between
our legs, she ran up them, then ran up our body on to the couch. Can I tell
you somthing, baby is very unusuall because she sits on the couch next to
us and waches t.v. How strange is that! Somtimes if there's music on the
t.v she bounces up and down.
Thank you from keri
Thank you to Jackie for sending this story:
As the weather has been so lovely this weekend I put my chins out in the
garden in one of their cages.
They love this !! They can bounce around to their hearts contents, sniff the wind and steal bits of grass.
The best bit is when I get them in in the evening, they are so whacked that
they can't even squeak.Ah, lovely! A peaceful evening uninterrupted by the
chins singing along ....bless !
Our chins are housed in two massive detachable cages in the sitting room. My
husband's latest success
with the chins is to get them to respond to him when
