Cheeky Chinchillas - Fictional Stories About Chinchillas 2
The Chinchilla In The Attic By Kara
There was once a small girl named Tessa. She was about the age of 6. One afternoon in the winter she was playing with her dolls when she heard a noise.
It was coming from the attic. She wasn't allowed up there, but as she was small she loved any sort of adventure.
So she climbed up the old wooden steps and slowly opened the door.
A small chinchilla stood before her.
She gasped, ready to run downstairs to tell her mother about this discovery.
But the small chinchilla walked to her feet and looked up at her.
"My name is Caleb, please I have no where to go, it's far too cold outside. Let me stay! Just until the snow melts."
He begged her with pleading eyes. The girl agreed, promising not to tell. Everyday she checked on him, and gave him food.
She became good friends with that small chinchilla, named Caleb. They talked about all sorts of things, and over time they became best friends.
Right before spring came, when it was still harsh, her mother heard noises outside, coming from the attic.
The mother talked with her husband, in the middle of the night.
"There's a rat or something up there," said the mother.
"I'll get it tomorrow," mumbled the husband. But his wife had another idea.
"You should call the exterminator," she said. The man agreed to call, after much pestering.
The next day the exterminator came to the girl's house. He listened for noises, but he heard none. When they opened the door, there was nothing there.
The chinchilla in the attic had gone. The woman apologized to him. She decided she must have only heard the wind. There was no rodent.
But the girl knows otherwise. Just ask her. I'm sure she will tell you all about the chinchilla in the attic.
