Riddikulus - A spell to transform something that is frightening into something amusing
On the 12th July 2007, The Cheeky Chinchillas went to see the new Harry Potter film:
The Order of The Phoenix (Film Review)
The chinnies were all very well behaved and only caused a little disruption on the way in, when they decided to play 'Hunt the Raisin' in the cinema kiosk....
Oh, and at one point, one of them decided to jump onto the person in front, obviously mistaking their head for a leaping ledge ... a mistake any chin could make !
The Cheeky Chinchillas really enjoyed the film, although they were disappointed that some parts of the book had beeen left out and some parts had been changed a little.
Of course, this is inevitable with such a lengthy text....impossible to include everything and everybody, but anyone who has not read the book might find it disjointed....
It would have been nice to have seen more of some of the characters; Would have enjoyed seeing more of the Twins' antics and more of Kreacher,
who played a major role in the book but only has a very small part in the film. Dobby did not make an appearance at all (we were dying to see him wearing all the hats that Hermione had made)
and there weren't any Quidditch matches. Also, it would have been nice to have had a glimpse of St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries,
if only to see Neville's grandmother and Professor Lockhart...
But, the effects were good and Imelda Staunton, who played Professor Umbridge was excellent ... hahem...
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Book)
Excellent ! Brilliant ! ... but sad to come to the end ...
J.K. Rowling is a brilliant author who has produced a set of books that the whole family can enjoy...and will for generations to come.
